Issue Position

- I appose Common Core being taught in the Public Educational system and the concept of no child left behind.

- Corporate taxes must be lowered to a competitive world rate. This will bring back manufacturing jobs / companies to the United States once again.

- I believe that our teacher should be paid more.

- We must repeal the 17th Amendment so that no Senator becomes so powerful or entrenched in the Senate that nothing gets done as result of egotistical ideology or partisan politics. They must be accountable to the Governor of the States they represent.

- I will protect the Alaska Fishing Industry, Forestry, Oil as well as the Mining Industry which plays an extremely important role in the economic survival of Alaska. We must not let outside interest groups dictate what we as Alaskans do with our lands.

- We must allow once again time for children in our school system the ability to pray and state the Pledge of Allegiance once again.

- Our Veterans deserve better treatment than what they are receiving from the VA system. It is appalling the wait times or lack of service our veterans receive.

- I believe that we must do away with the life long appointment of our Supreme Court Justices.

-The Social Security system must be address and fixed now. It is operating at an un-sustainable rate. If operations continue at its current rate it will be financially broke and unable to pay those that depend on this retirement program.

- Solid Second Amendment Supporter and Volunteer. Received an A+ from the NRA last election. Standard policy of the NRA is to endorse the incumbent

- Military : Let me be perfectly clear. First of all war is the last thing that I would advocate for our nation. The fact of the matter is there is peace through strength. We must build our Navy, the Air Force, and our ground forces. We are the nation that the world looks toward to maintain the tranquility, balance, and guidance whether we like it or not around the world. The Leader of the free world must not be weak or indecisive in their actions, and must put partisan politics aside to uphold the very foundation upon which our nation was founded. Which is under God. We must not try to balance the budget on the backs of the Military. The military is often the very first to get cut each time Congress tries to balance the budget. I'm often questioned about conflicts and military budgeting. You can not fight a conflict on a set budget. The theater of operation will dictate cost. A budget is set by those that have no concept of what it takes to fight a conventional wars or the current war on terror. Those that set a budget have never served or have any idea what sacrifice those that have served, (The Greatest Generation) those that are serving, and those that will serve must endure to return home to our loved ones. The Administration must also stop exploiting or promoting our plans of military actions to the press for their own accolades. This is a blatant disregard of the element of surprise of our actions as we assist a nation in dire need. Failure to maintain that element of surprise will result in loss of life, bodily injury or physiological trauma. We must let our troops know that we have an objective that we will stick to and that our nation has their 6.

- I am Pro-Life: Life begins at conception. I will fight to end funding to any organization that preforms abortions even in the case of rape or incest. "no exceptions". We must punish those who commit the crime and not the innocent child.

- We must expand school choice or a voucher system.

- I believe in a simplistic fair tax system. We must do away with the IRS.

- I believe that we need to do away with several department of the government for example the Department of Education, EPA, and the Department of Energy. We must allow the States to govern themselves with out Federal intervention.

- Immigration: Received an A+ rating from NumbersUSA.com on the immigration problems during the 2014 election. Where as my opponent, (Don Young) received the grade of D+. We must secure not just the boarders but our Visa process as well. I believe that children born of the those here illegally should not be granted US Citizenship automatically. The Constitution under the 14th Amendment was directed towards those that were here under slavery conditions and Native Americans.
